Communication coaching your employer can fund

What did your last review say that stayed with you?

Feedback rarely tells the whole story. Here’s what we hear most, and what’s usually underneath it.

“You ramble in meetings.”

You know your subject inside out. It’s finding the through-line, quickly, that takes the work.

“Your presentations need more impact.”

The thinking is all there. It’s the way it lands in the room that we work on.

“We need you to speak up more.”

You have the view. Getting it into the room, with weight behind it, is what we build.

From feedback to funded coaching, in three steps

01

Start with a discovery call

Share what surfaced in your review with your Client Success Manager: what came up, what you’d love to change, and how that shift could ripple into the way you show up at work.

02

We write your proposal

After your call, your Client Success Manager sends a proposal that maps the road ahead: what you want to achieve, and how you’ll know you’ve reach it – shaped around your budget and your goals, and ready to pass straight to your Learning & Development team.

03

Take it to your manager

You arrive at your meeting with a detailed roadmap for lifting your productivity in role, alongside a clear framework for tracking how far you’ve come. Once you get the approval, we’ll set you up and you can begin straight away.

Introducing the Impact Framework

Every step of your journey is measured. You’ll reach the outcome you came for, and you’ll have the evidence to show for it.

Baseline

Before your first session, you'll complete your Impact Baseline Survey. Think of it as your compass point: this is where you are today, and changes you're hoping for. This will be the reference point everything else is measured against.

Before

Pulse

As you go, we check in with an Impact Pulse. It's a way of catching any drift early, so the focus can shift the moment your priorities do. You feel the movement while it's happening.

During

Results

Once your sessions and Impact Results are complete, you'll sit down with your Client Success Manager for your Impact Review, walking through a personalised report that lays your growth out clearly against the goals you set at the start.

After

Starting the conversation is often the hardest part, so here’s an opener you’re welcome to borrow.

Hi [name], I've been reflecting on what you said in my review about my presentations, and it's stayed with me. I'd love to do something meaningful with it. I've found a coaching programme with London Speech Workshop that speaks directly to it. They work with individuals and teams on exactly this kind of thing, helping people communicate with more clarity, confidence and presence, and they've put together a proposal for me with the goals, the approach and the cost all laid out. You can get a sense of their courses here: https://londonspeechworkshop.com/our-courses/ Could I share the proposal with you? I'd love to talk it through.

Start with a Discovery Call

Wondering how to bring this to your employer? Book a free discovery call. Our Client Success Team will help you see where you are now, find the right coaching for your goals, and give you what you need to have that conversation with confidence.

Can I use my company's training budget for communication coaching?

Often, yes. Many organisations hold a Learning and Development budget that goes underspent each year, and communication coaching sits squarely within it. Nearly a third of our clients fund their course this way. If you’re not certain what your company offers, that’s one of the things a free discovery call can help you uncover, so you arrive at the conversation with your manager already knowing what’s possible.

Can coaching come out of an Learning & Development budget?

It can, and it frequently does. Learning and Development budgets are designed for exactly this kind of growth: building a skill that lifts how you show up at work. Communication coaching is a recognised professional development spend, which means it tends to sit comfortably within the same category as a course or a conference. Your L&D or HR team will know how your particular budget is structured, and we can give you the proposal and framework that makes the request easy to say yes to.

What if my manager says no?

It happens less often than people fear, particularly when the request is framed around impact rather than cost. Most managers want their people to grow, and a clear proposal that connects your coaching to the value it brings the team makes that easy to see. If the answer is still no, there are other routes: some clients spread the cost themselves, others revisit the conversation when the next budget cycle opens. A discovery call is a good place to talk through what might work for your situation.

How much does communication coaching cost?

Cost depends on the length of your course and the package that fits your goals, so there’s no single figure that would be honest to quote here. What we can say is that we’ll always be transparent about pricing before you commit, and a free discovery call is where we help you find the right package rather than the biggest one. You’ll leave that conversation with a clear proposal, including the cost laid out in full, ready to take to your employer.

How is progress measured?

Every step of your journey is measured through our Impact Framework, so nothing rests on hope alone. It begins with an Impact Baseline that names where you are now and the shifts you’re hoping for. As you go, an Impact Pulse checks in to catch any drift and adjust the focus if your priorities move. At the end, an Impact Review shows how far you’ve come, giving you evidence to share with your employer as well as a felt sense of your own growth.

Is the coaching in person or online?

Both. You can work with your coach in person at one of our London offices, or online from wherever you are, whichever suits your schedule and how you learn best. Many clients mix the two across a course. We’ll talk through the options on your discovery call and find the rhythm that works for you.
